Niall Cafferkey - CP Clinic Wexford

Before joining CP Clinic, Niall worked with the Sports Surgery Clinic, Santry for four years as a Rehabilitation Specialist. Here he assisted thousands of people overcome lower limb & upper limb injuries, particularly people with back & knee pain, as well as being responsible for the return to play of many top-level athletes post ACL surgery. Niall has gained a wealth of experience from the Sports Surgery Clinic surrounding all aspects of rehabilitation and knows the importance of exercise and movement when it comes to treating muscular and joint pain. In his early career, Niall spent three years with STAT Sports; the world’s leading GPS player tracking company. During this period, he provided a consultancy service to elite teams on how to best implement injury prevention strategies & optimise athletic performance. In this role, Niall worked with world-renowned teams such FC Barcelona, AS Roma, Irish Women’s rugby 7s & the Polish soccer team during a successful European Qualifying campaign. Previous to this Niall worked with the New Zealand Sports Academy for 9 months during his University work placement. When he’s not in CP Clinic, you can find Niall on the GAA pitch in either a coaching or playing capacity. Both of which he thoroughly enjoys.

Qualifications

Niall holds an Undergraduate degree in Sports & Exercise Science from the University of Limerick along with a Master's Degree in Strength & Conditioning from St. Mary's University London. He is also a certified S&C Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
